mztiny | Can a relationship work with square moons? |
Ami Anne | To me, no, but that is one person's opinion. ------------------ Want To Ask Any Question About Bible Prophecy? Go For it. It is Free, of course. http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

Barbiegirl19 | Of course it can. As long as you have other really great aspects together that sort of help even it out, then you're good to go!! My honey and I have squared moons and we're the happiest we've ever been with each other Relationships are all of what you and your partner make of it together. |
Kerosene | Yes obviously, they belong to the same modality so they have a lot in common.
|
PlutoSurvivor | If I had a choice I wouldn't want to see this aspect, square moons. Moon represents emotional needs and most people look outside themselves to have their emotional needs met. You have to be strong enough to sustain yourself emotionally from within with this aspect. Personally, my moon is Cancer, that's Cardinal and Water, very emotional. Same Quality in any synastry aspect is most challenging, especially Cardinal. I would prefer compatibility in Moons because life experience has brought me my most lasting relationships with same moon sign, in fact. Look at the house placements, too. If either of you have 12H or 6H it might be a little more difficult individually, which would put added stress on the partnership, especially with a square. Again, any single aspect does not determine how a relationship works. If you really understand the emotional needs of you and your partner, so that you honor your own needs and respect your partner's needs you can express this aspect in a positive and stimulating way.

fireopal09 | Absolutely. I have Moon in Pisces square my significant other's Moon in Sagittarius. All it takes is mutual respect. ------------------ Claire "When going gets weird, the weird turn pro." -HST |
Kerosene | you mean to say all it takes is MUTABLE RESPECT. but seriously yes, that's what it is.

Enneline | Paul McCartney and his first wife had this aspect and they supposedly had a great relationship. I once had this aspect with a crush. We had great aspects (like sun conjunct moon, etc.) but this aspect really freaked me out. I am an "all around" cancer since I am a sun cancer, venus cancer and a cancer asc and so my moon is really important for me. Someone squaring my moon with his moon did not bring the best out of me |
summerlite | it's not pleasant. |

Interesting. How close was the square and what were the Moons. Thanks, E!------------------ Want To Ask Any Question About Bible Prophecy? Go For it. It is Free, of course. http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

AriesLilith | Well it depends, a lack of natural affinity and compatibility of emotional needs will always be there - you can't change what you are in the core. Thought understanding to some degree can still achieved. Besides, even thought you have compatible Moons doesn't mean you will always get each other anyways, you can have emotional affinity but other things in the chart blocking this, or make you not interested or inclined to reach a deeper affinity. |
mztiny | Our moons are: Him - Leo moon Her - Taurus moon Squared Orb 6.36 |
ReachingForTheStars | I've been married for 13 years. My cap moon squares my husbands aries moon (1). He is a cancer rising so his moon is his chart ruler. We fought a whole lot in the early stages of our marriage. His moon conjuncts his natal MC, so there is some affinity between my moon and his. Like capricorn, my husband is hard working, entrepreneurial, and makes a lot of money, but he's mostly an impulsive aries who's even better at spending everything on his every whim. My saturn is also opposite his moon. So as you can imagine, I can be very restricting sometimes to a point where even I'm telling myself to chill out. We have a much better relationship now that we're older. In fact, we may even have a relationship others would envy, but it takes a lot, and it took a lot to get to this point. I don't think our marriage will be until death does us part unless one of us kills the other! We may be seem happier now because I'm just indifferent about our lives together. I can agree with the others who've said it can work with mutual love and respect. We have respect and brother/sisterly love. Man, I even sound negative and restricting talking about us. Like AriesLilith said, understanding can be achieved, and that's where we're at. We both have grown to recognize and understand the value of our different approaches, why we feel and behave the way we do, and we make adjustments accordingly. The adjustments are constant though, and breaking up before you even reach this point may be likely. |
Ami Anne | Thank you, Reaching That is a great personal testimony! ------------------ Want To Ask Any Question About Bible Prophecy? Go For it. It is Free, of course. http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

Don't you think that there could possibly be other aspects that help the relationship along? I know that, for instance, I shared a square Moon aspect with a room-mate years ago. I was not keen in moving in with him and thought that we'd actually kill each other. He has his Moon in Aries squaring my Moon in Cancer(exact). We were never romantic but it would get into these really intense fights. He also has his Mars conjunct my Jupiter and his Venus conjunct my Mars. He says that I lived with him the longest and ,to be honest, I don't know how I did it. I found him super irritating and wouldn't do it again. I think life is too short. If I can help it, I'd avoid these types of relationships. |
lifefullofwords | I think it depends on the person, some people like hard aspects in synastry. I know I do but I have a number of squares in my natal chart and only one conjunction and a few trines. I have a Leo Moon and I can totally imagine dating a Taurus or Scorpio Moon. But I have a Taurus ASC/Scorpio DSC so it's hardly surprising that I like Tauruses and Scorpios. Plus the couple might also have Sun trine Moon or a bunch of other soft aspects that would smooth over the tension created by Moon square Moon. I do think Moon square Moon would create some potential problems regardless of the rest of the couple's synastry but personally I'd be so bored in a relationship with someone a lot like me. |
bansheequeen | I agree with life. I think it depends on the person. Some prefer a relationship with hard aspects. To me. The cycle of bad or tense moments and then resolving them an working things and seeing that first ray of sun after the storm. It makes me feel closer to the person and I like the intensity of the relationship. I had a relationship wth mostly harmonious aspects and I found myself wanting more more more. But there wasn't enough and I knew I would never find it in that person. There was no depth. I can't dive into a puddle. |
GypseeWind | I've been married to someone whose moon is squared to mine for 23 years. It has not been easy. |

Interesting. How close was the square and what were the Moons. Thanks, E![/B][/QUOTE] My moon: 29°10' Aries His moon: 27°55' Capricorn Yeah, a Capricorn moon opposites my sun and cancer and asc and squares my moon. Of course it did not work out |
manderin | No. People will tell you that it can potentially work if you are both willing to put in the effort, but I believe that if you have to work that hard to be with someone then being in that relationship needs to be questioned. Why try to shove a square peg into a triangular hole? In the end even if you succeed you're only going to end up with one messed up peg. Besides which I have yet to see ONE example where both people in a relationship are willing to put in equal effort anyway. You can try being acquaintances, but if you want more than that it's better you use your limited time on this planet to find a nice square hole instead. |
DeepFreeze | First, never single out a single aspect. Any decent Astrologer will tell you that. We have a loose square and so far it's just been lots of love and lots of laughter. (Libra and Gemini) Any issues that pop up are resolved quickly and peacefully. Often we're on the same page anyway. (composite Virgo sun helping out maybe? Looking at things logically? Plus quite a few composite to natal conjunctions) Singling out aspects is a mistake. Look at them all individually, the good and bad, get the big picture. |
just_add_water | my partner of 11 years has a moon in capricorn and i have a moon in gemini im a cancer my partners a taurus sun i have a virgo rising my partner has libra my mars cancer hers is gemini my venus gemini hers is taurus we seem to love each other very very much and understand each other emotionaly and verbally.
